Compliance Lead, Testing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee Affirm’s Compliance Testing Program.

• Execute ongoing compliance assessments and report on conformity with the compliance program as well as federal and state regulatory standards.

• Conduct evaluations to pinpoint regulatory compliance deficiencies and gaps.

• Collaborate with various departments, including Compliance, Legal, Operations, Risk, Product, Engineering, and senior management.

• Support a dynamic business environment with tight deadlines while delivering thorough and meticulous work.

• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and suggest new procedures to bolster internal controls.

• Organize compliance risk evaluations and control inventories, which includes gathering and documenting findings.

• Act as a subject-matter expert in regulatory compliance for new and updated products and services.

• Continuously refine internal compliance procedures associated with the Compliance Testing Program.

• Report to the Senior Compliance Manager while working independently.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Compliance Testing or Audit.

• Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact Affirm’s operations.

• Experience in executing comprehensive compliance testing activities from start to finish.

• Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.

• Capability to propose innovative and efficient solutions and adapt in a fast-paced setting.

• Strong project management, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex and sensitive issues clearly.

• Proficient in navigating computer applications such as Google Docs, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.

• Detail-oriented, organized, and thorough.
