This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Engage with deponents such as medical offices, hospitals, and businesses to confirm service information for subpoenas at a senior complexity level.
• Perform in-depth research to find accurate contact details, service agents, and specific instructions for challenging or unfamiliar custodians.
• Accurately input verified information into DAS to facilitate precise subpoena issuance and service.
• Manage escalated verification cases, including custodians with intricate requirements or contested information.
• Act as a subject matter expert for junior verification team members.
• Support the training of new personnel on verification workflows, DAS, and HIPAA compliance.
• Update and maintain the location database with newly acquired and corrected custodian information.
• Recognize trends in verification challenges and propose recommendations to the team lead or manager.
• At least 2 years of experience in verifications, records retrieval, or a similar legal services position.
• Strong internet research capabilities and the ability to pinpoint reliable information sources.
• In-depth understanding of HIPAA regulations and subpoena procedures.
• Proficient in DAS and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Comfortable in mentoring colleagues and fostering team development.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the designated job location.
