Senior Vendor Performance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +17 more states.

📋 Description

• Supervise external vendors and ensure the quality of their work.

• Strategically plan, manage, and oversee operational support for vendor relationships.

• Collaborate with client relationship teams and vendors to meet contractual and SLA performance standards.

• Handle daily operational challenges and address high-priority, complex, or escalated vendor inquiries.

• Suggest improvements to business processes based on technical challenges, solutions, and organizational needs.

• Advocate for operational requirements within vendor governance frameworks.

• Elevate issues to the team lead as necessary.

• Mentor and develop both peers and vendor personnel.

• Oversee vendor performance and productivity metrics.

• Track vendor contracts and collaborate with procurement on contract creation and renewals.

• Document vendor adherence to contract stipulations and requirements.

• Ensure accuracy in invoicing, payments, compliance with contracts, and delivery of expected vendor services.

• Manage budgets, purchase orders, budget-system data, and monthly actual-to-budget reports for leadership.

• Assist in formulating vendor strategies and implementing these approaches.

• Lead the development and modification of the company-vendor operating model.

• Fulfill additional responsibilities as needed.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance/Accounting, Health Care Management, Economics, or a related field.

• 6 years of relevant work experience may replace the need for a Bachelor's Degree.

• 5 years of experience in Vendor Management, Vendor Operations, Financial Reporting, or Budget Management.

• 5 years of experience in the Health Care sector is preferred.

• 1 year of experience in Project Management is preferred.

• Strong critical thinking abilities.

• Willingness to adapt and eagerness to learn.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Capability to quickly evaluate situations, identify problems, and offer solutions.

• Proven success in a matrixed organizational structure.

• Experience in budget management.

• Comfort and ability to interact with and present to leadership.

• Exceptional organizational and time management skills; adept at multitasking and reprioritizing tasks.

• Proficient in computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite.

• Experience in process development and oversight.

• Willingness to travel 0%–25% of the time.
