This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska.
• Carry out on-site vehicle condition assessments for dealer clients within a designated territory.
• Safely locate, start, maneuver, inspect, and return vehicles on dealer client lots.
• Confirm vehicle identification, VINs, mileage, sub-series, and options; accurately input data into systems.
• Examine and document the exterior and interior condition of vehicles, including tires, frame, glass, panels, mechanical parts, seating, dashboard, and installed options.
• Conduct basic mechanical assessments of powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical components.
• Identify and record any damage, missing parts, or non-functional features.
• Establish trust with dealer clients through dependable quality, professionalism, and responsiveness.
• Inform clients about Manheim Marketplace and mobile inspection services.
• Engage with dealers to enhance inspection volume and ensure ongoing participation.
• Utilize data, insights, and partner feedback to optimize inspection efficiency and territory productivity.
• Adjust to changes in daily appointments and schedules to guarantee dealer coverage.
• Prepare and submit daily activity and production reports.
• Utilize Salesforce.com for reporting, lead management, and tracking customer performance.
• Collaborate with Wholesale Specialists, colleagues, and other Manheim teams.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement and Lean process enhancement initiatives.
• Maintain production standards and adhere to safety and health protocols.
• Take part in Safety Excellence initiatives.
• Follow Manheim inspection standards, including the NAAA Frame/Structure Damage Policy.
• Senior Level: execute advanced inspections, mentor colleagues, assist with onboarding, and act as a subject matter expert.
• Execute other assigned duties.
• High School Diploma or GED is required for Level 1.
• Level 2: High School Diploma or GED plus over 3 years of experience in a related field; alternatives include any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED, or 5 years of experience in a related field.
• Senior Level: High School Diploma/GED plus 5 years of experience in a related field; alternatives include any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED and 3 years of experience, or 7 years of experience in a related field.
• Prior vehicle inspection experience is necessary for Senior Level.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems (body and mechanical) is required for Senior Level.
• A valid driver’s license with a good driving record is mandatory.
• Capability to meet the physical and mental demands of the role within specified timeframes is essential.
• Basic automotive knowledge is preferred for Level 1.
• 0-1 years of automotive-related experience is preferred for Level 1.
• 1-2 years of automotive-related experience is preferred for Level 2.
• 2-3 years of automotive-related experience is strongly preferred for Senior Level.
• One year of service with Manheim Inspections is recommended.
• Residency in Omaha, Nebraska is required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.
• No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT, or visa sponsorship is available now or in the future.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.
