Senior Varicent Functional – Technical Solution Architect

📋 Description

• Assist the Compensation functional area for Sales Incentives, addressing global priorities and roadmaps.

• Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to develop product vision, goals, and roadmaps.

• Assess Varicent capabilities through thorough research and testing.

• Collect requirements, enhance business processes, perform fit-gap analysis, create functional designs, configure solutions, and conduct testing.

• Convert business requirements into technical solutions and establish timelines.

• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of the Varicent SPM platform.

• Configure, customize, and develop enhancements in Varicent, including calculations, workflows, incentives, rules, and compensation plan components.

• Create, build, and maintain Varicent reports, dashboards, analytics, and audit functionalities.

• Conduct and support user acceptance testing, including test plans, scenarios, cases, and results.

• Keep documentation, approvals, artifacts, deliverables, and timelines up to date.

• Deliver enhancements for Varicent, project requests, and resolve defects.

• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure transparency and manage delivery expectations.

• Analyze data and metrics to guide strategies and share insights and actions.

• Evaluate new technologies and suggest platform improvements.

• Stay informed about Varicent functionality and coordinate with the vendor on changes.

• Engage in vendor releases, regression testing, and cross-functional initiatives.

• Provide strategic direction, guidance, mentoring, and support for team member development.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in a Varicent Functional or Technical Lead position.

• 8+ years of experience configuring and troubleshooting Business Processes while building solutions in Varicent SPM platforms.

• 8+ years of experience in gathering requirements, performing fit-gap analysis, designing solutions, creating functional designs, configuring SaaS applications, conducting user acceptance testing, and ensuring product health.

• 5+ years of experience with the Varicent SPM platform, including calculations, workflows, and configuration.

• 5+ years of experience in configuring and building integrations between Varicent and enterprise systems.

• 5+ years of experience generating Varicent reports for analysis, data auditing, and fulfilling requests from various business teams.

• 4+ years of experience with Varicent integration architecture and design patterns.

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.

• Experience in supporting HR systems for large organizations with non-exempt employees.

• Experience in supporting international employees.

• Capability to lead a team within a matrix organization while managing multiple priorities.

• Product ownership experience, taking accountability for product health.

• Strong organizational, analytical, time management, and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to build and maintain relationships with business partners and stakeholders.

• Strong customer service orientation.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong work ethic, self-starter attitude, and the ability to remain highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

• Experience with Project Management, Change Management, and Communications.
