Senior UX Researcher, Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee UX research and design processes throughout the entire product lifecycle, encompassing discovery, problem framing, research planning, synthesis, ideation, prototyping, validation, delivery, and ongoing enhancement.

• Organize and execute qualitative and quantitative research to gain insights into user needs, behaviors, workflows, pain points, and decision-making contexts.

• Convert research outcomes into actionable insights, product suggestions, design directions, and requirements.

• Design and assess user experiences for AI-enhanced products, such as LLM-based applications, autonomous systems, intelligent automation workflows, and human-in-the-loop decision-support solutions.

• Develop and maintain UX artifacts, which include personas, journey maps, service blueprints, workflow models, wireframes, prototypes, usability reports, and design specifications.

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, data scientists, clinicians, and business stakeholders.

• Contribute to rapid experimentation, iterative delivery, measurement, and continuous learning within small agile teams.

• Provide leadership in uncertain environments and guide product direction using data- and research-driven insights.

• Mentor UX professionals and cross-functional team members.

• Promote accessibility, usability, ethical AI principles, and human-centered design.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Design, Cognitive Science, Human Factors, or a related field.

• 10+ years of experience in UX research, product design, usability assessment, and user-centered design for complex digital products.

• Proven track record of independently managing end-to-end UX initiatives from discovery to implementation and continuous optimization.

• Strong expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including interviews, contextual inquiry, usability testing, surveys, workflow analysis, and research synthesis.

• Demonstrated skill in interaction design, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, visual communication, and design systems.

• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams across product management, software engineering, data science, clinical operations, and business functions.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, facilitation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to sway decisions through evidence-backed recommendations.

• Proficiency with contemporary UX and AI-enabled productivity tools, including Figma, FigJam, Microsoft Copilot, Cursor, AI-assisted research synthesis platforms, and other related technologies.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
