Senior UX Designer – Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Create interactive user experiences in code to explore, communicate, and validate concepts.

• Quickly prototype workflows, interactions, and usability ideas prior to implementation.

• Design user experiences for intricate enterprise SaaS applications and enhance customer interactions.

• Collaborate with product managers, UX researchers, designers, and engineers to establish requirements and influence product direction.

• Work alongside engineering during development to guarantee high-quality execution.

• Evaluate implementations to ensure the final product aligns with the original design intentions.

• Balance user requirements, accessibility standards, technical limitations, and business objectives.

• Utilize modern design tools to explore ideas, convey visual design, and contribute to the design system.

• Develop prototypes using React, Vue, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

• Contribute to reusable UI patterns and coded component libraries.

• Utilize AI-native design and development tools for ideation, prototype data, interactive experiences, and design guidance.

• Design and prototype AI-assisted experiences such as conversational interfaces, guided configuration, and intelligent recommendations.

• Advocate for UX best practices and actively contribute to Ping’s design culture.

• Offer constructive design feedback and mentor fellow designers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a similar field—or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 4 years of experience in UX design, frontend development, or a combined design/development role.

• Strong portfolio showcasing thoughtful UX design and interactive coded prototypes.

• Expert-level proficiency with contemporary UX design tools and component-based design systems.

• Experience in building interactive applications using React, Vue, or comparable modern frontend frameworks.

• Solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, responsive design, and frontend best practices.

• Experience utilizing code as a medium for prototyping.

• Familiarity with component-based design systems and frontend component libraries.

• Comprehensive understanding of accessibility standards and WCAG guidelines.

• Exceptional interaction design skills and keen attention to visual details.

• Ability to effectively communicate design decisions and technical tradeoffs with designers, engineers, and product managers.

• Experience with AI-native tools and workflows to expedite design, prototyping, or frontend development.

• Interest in emerging interaction patterns for AI-driven products and experiences.
