Senior UX Designer – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design workflow from initial discovery and user research to high-fidelity prototyping and post-launch enhancements.

• Transform intricate insurance concepts into straightforward, user-friendly journeys.

• Develop service blueprints that outline the complete policy lifecycle.

• Leverage product analytics and A/B testing outcomes to validate designs and enhance conversion rates.

• Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering Tech Leads to assess technical feasibility and align with the product roadmap.

• Contribute to and champion the internal design system.

• Ensure consistency, accessibility, and scalability throughout the platform.

• Provide constructive feedback during design evaluations.

• Mentor intermediate and junior designers.

• Drive design strategy for both customer-facing and internal applications.

• Take ownership of key product areas while enhancing design processes and fostering collaboration.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in UX/Product Design.

• Demonstrated success, preferably in Fintech, Insurtech, or complex SaaS sectors.

• A portfolio that highlights the design thinking process, challenges, and intricate user flows.

• Advanced proficiency in Figma.

• Familiarity with contemporary hand-off and research tools.

• Capability to navigate between visionary concepts and MVP realities within a dynamic startup environment.

• Ability to clearly communicate the reasoning behind design choices to stakeholders.

• Skill in transforming data and research into compelling narratives.
