This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Design and develop intricate systems and tools utilizing Unity.
• Create and sustain Unity-based simulation products aimed at training and educational purposes.
• Construct, enhance, and diagnose physical simulation behaviors, terrain-driven workflows, constraints, interactions, and real-time simulation processes.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, producers, QA, and developers to bring features to fruition.
• Write efficient, maintainable, well-documented C# code.
• Debug, profile, and optimize code to ensure performance, stability, and scalability across various platforms.
• Contribute to architectural decisions for systems utilized across multiple products or extensive feature sets.
• Engage in the complete development lifecycle from concept to delivery within an agile setting.
• Integrate 3D assets, animations, audio, external systems, and hardware interfaces into Unity applications.
• Assist in creating technical design documentation, conducting code reviews, and promoting development best practices.
• Guide junior developers and foster a culture of technical excellence.
• Over 6 years of professional programming experience in the simulation, gaming, interactive software sector, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Unity and C#.
• Significant experience in developing systems and features within Unity across diverse technical domains.
• Knowledge of real-time simulation principles, physical systems, interactions, and performance constraints.
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software development best practices.
• Practical experience with profiling and optimization techniques.
• Experience using source/version control systems like Git.
• Capability to tackle complex technical challenges.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on time-sensitive projects with evolving technical priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to convey technical concepts clearly.
• Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
