Senior UI Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Assist in crafting innovative user experiences for the Scruff and Jack’d app team.

• Create visually appealing interface designs tailored for the global LGBTQ+ community.

• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to address user challenges through design.

• Evaluate concepts and contribute to ongoing projects.

• Enhance and develop design systems and new features.

• Provide refined, engineering-ready user interfaces.

• Organize lightweight user testing, gather insights, and implement findings.

• Facilitate design reviews and workshops to align stakeholders and generate creative ideas.

• Work alongside engineers to ensure a balance between design quality and technical practicality.

• Operate both independently and collaboratively within a remote, distributed team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in product design, UI/UX, or visual design.

• 2 to 3 years of experience with consumer-facing native mobile applications.

• A portfolio that demonstrates collaboration with Product Management in designing user flows, testing concepts, refining UI/UX, and delivering polished design work for software or mobile applications.

• Proficiency in Figma, including experience with component libraries and motion prototypes.

• Capability to define a visual style and guide other designers or contractors in maintaining consistency in execution.

• Experience in contributing to or developing a design system across various products.

• Strong grasp of composition, typography, and storytelling for in-app surfaces and marketing campaigns.

• Organized, self-motivated, and adept at fostering clarity among product, marketing, and engineering teams.

• Familiarity with agile methodologies and iterative delivery processes.

• Experience with After Effects, Lottie, Rive, or other motion design tools for lightweight motion assets (preferred).

• Passion for or experience within one or more of the communities represented by the products (preferred).
