Senior UAT Tester

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Ensure that software solutions meet business requirements and user expectations prior to their release to production.

• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, business analysts, key users, and development teams.

• Define acceptance scenarios.

• Validate end-to-end processes.

• Ensure proper functional approval of the system.

• Define, execute, and document UAT tests.

• Validate business flows in web applications, legacy systems, and APIs.

• Analyze results and generate evidence.

• Manage defects in JIRA.

• Participate in refinement sessions, functional reviews, and agile ceremonies.

• Provide a user and business-focused perspective to ensure the release of high-quality products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree in Computer Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Proven experience in UAT testing and functional validation (minimum 5 years).

• Experience working directly with end users and business areas.

• Strong ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into UAT test cases.

• Experience in end-to-end functional testing, regression, and smoke testing in production and pre-production environments.

• Functional validation of APIs using tools such as Postman.

• Comprehensive defect lifecycle management using JIRA Cloud.

• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum).

• Experience in DEV, QA, UAT, and PROD environments.

• High capacity for documentation, evidence generation, executive reporting, and result alignment with the business.

• Ability to coordinate and facilitate acceptance testing sessions with end users.
