QA Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Analyze requirements and acceptance criteria prior to development, identifying ambiguities and edge cases.

• Design, document, and maintain test cases and test plans that are traceable.

• Perform structured exploratory testing and report findings that extend beyond scripted paths.

• Take ownership of the manual regression scope based on the risk associated with releases.

• Triage production issues by reproducing, isolating, assigning severity, escalating, and verifying fixes.

• Create and manage complex test data that includes multiple roles, permission levels, states, and large document volumes.

• Validate permission hierarchies and ensure tenant-level data isolation.

• Write reproducible defect reports that include steps, evidence, and environment details.

• Communicate quality status and residual risk to stakeholders to inform release decisions.

• Collaborate with automation engineers to transition stabilized cases and align automated coverage with business priorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance.

• At least 3 years of experience testing complex, business-critical web applications.

• Strong understanding of equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, decision tables, and state transition testing.

• Proven experience in disciplined exploratory testing.

• Experience in triaging production issues and differentiating technical severity from business priority.

• Background in designing test data for various roles, permissions, and states.

• Proficient in SQL.

• Experience validating APIs using Postman or a similar tool.

• Familiarity with Jira and a test management tool such as TestRail, Zephyr, Xray, or equivalent.

• Excellent command of written and spoken English.

• Experience working in Agile environments, including Scrum or Kanban.

• Ability to collaborate across time zones with overlap during United States Pacific business hours.

• Capability to communicate technical risks in business terms.

• Candidates must currently reside in Mexico or Latin America.

• Bonus: Ability to read, execute, and interpret automated suites using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
