This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create designs for high-voltage (69kV–500kV) transmission lines utilizing PLS-CADD.

• Execute intricate project assignments by employing advanced engineering methodologies, principles, and practices.

• Offer specialized consultation for the design, development, and execution of technical plans and systems utilized in high-voltage transmission-line construction.

• Promote collaboration among various disciplines and project team members.

• Serve as the main client contact to clarify project scope and comprehend requirements.

• Generate construction documentation for transmission lines.

• Develop project design criteria, including plan and profile drawings, structure framing and loading diagrams, assembly drawings, foundation drawings, and construction specifications.

• Coordinate specific design elements of projects.

• Estimate construction expenses and identify necessary materials.

• Review project drawings, calculations, and specifications.

• Assist in the training and mentorship of team members.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.

• Uphold positive relationships with clients.

• Manage personal workload and independently accomplish assigned tasks.

• Utilize emerging technology and AI tools to enhance workflows, address challenges, and promote continuous improvement.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution is required.

• At least 10 years of engineering experience is necessary.

• A minimum of 8 years in Transmission Line Engineering or a related field is required.

• A Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory.

• Proficiency in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE is preferred.

• Prior experience working with or for a Utility is highly desirable.

• Must possess analytical skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work effectively in a team and various situations.

• Exceptional presentation and verbal/written communication skills are essential.

• Strong interpersonal abilities are required.

• Proven experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and AutoCAD is preferred.

• Proficiency in MFAD/LPILE is favored.

• A commitment and ability to mentor less experienced engineers is necessary.

• Must have permanent authorization to work in the US.
