
Senior Training and Education Specialist β Cardiac Surgery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +3 more states.
β’ Build and enhance relationships with vascular surgery training programs.
β’ Assess educational requirements and link customers to Medtronic resources.
β’ Organize education and product exposure for residents and fellows focusing on Medtronic Aortic therapies, technologies, clinical evidence, and procedural education.
β’ Conduct product in-services, simulation activities, case sizing and planning education, and utilize Medtronic Academy resources along with approved educational programs.
β’ Encourage involvement in the Young Endovascular Specialists (YES) curriculum and offerings from Medtronic Academy.
β’ Relay educational gaps and customer feedback to the Training & Education team.
β’ Cultivate relationships with graduating trainees and early-career vascular surgeons.
β’ Keep in touch with emerging physicians post-graduation.
β’ Represent and provide support at key national and regional conferences, particularly along the East Coast.
β’ Assist with workshops, simulation programs, dinners, meetings, and other sanctioned conference engagements.
β’ Collaborate with national and local field teams, faculty, and meeting-planning partners to develop regional trainee education programs.
β’ Act as a strategic resource for district managers, sales representatives, clinical specialists, and ambassadors.
β’ Offer insights into trainees nearing graduation and facilitate transitions as they move into new practices.
β’ Aid field partners in utilizing national Trainee & Early Career resources.
β’ Work in conjunction with U.S. and global Training & Education, Medical Education, Medical Science, Marketing, Faculty Relations, and other stakeholders.
β’ Ensure accurate records of trainees, engagement tracking, post-graduate destinations, and handoff information.
β’ Monitor educational engagements and participation in programs.
β’ Provide insights on regional customer needs, educational gaps, emerging trends, and best practices.
β’ High School Diploma or equivalent with over 8 years of relevant experience in a clinical lab environment, clinical training, field sales/support in the medical device or healthcare sector, or an equivalent OR Associate's Degree with at least 6 years of experience OR Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
β’ Willingness to travel within the designated geography and nationally as needed, approximately 70% of the time.
β’ Proven experience in developing and nurturing professional relationships with healthcare professionals, physician learners, academic institutions, or healthcare organizations.
β’ Familiarity with vascular surgery, endovascular therapies, aortic disease, or associated cardiovascular specialties.
β’ Experience in supporting physician education, residency programs, fellowship initiatives, or transition-to-practice programs.
β’ Background in coordinating cross-functional projects and customer-facing programs.
β’ Excellent written, verbal, presentation, organizational, and relationship-management abilities.
β’ For degrees obtained outside of the United States, a degree that meets the requirements of 8 C.F.R. Β§ 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is mandatory.
β’ Must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization upon hiring and maintain it throughout employment; sponsorship is not available for positions below the Principal level.
