Senior Training and Development Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Hampshire.

📋 Description

• Offer advanced technical expertise and analysis in specialized GIS, HQIIS, Army real-property applications, and related operational environments.

• Conduct senior-level geospatial-systems analysis.

• Create technical and instructional documentation.

• Provide virtual and onsite training sessions.

• Advise on the implementation of intricate GIS and real-property issues.

• Assist in the development, updating, conversion, and delivery of the Army’s GIS-RP training program.

• Revise GIS-RP Training Modules 101 through 104 in response to guidance or policy modifications.

• Generate and maintain materials for instructors, participants, reference, and presentations.

• Transform Modules 101 through 104 into self-paced instructional formats.

• Create advanced GIS-RP modules to address inconsistencies among GFEBS/PRIDE, HQIIS, and IGI&S data.

• Develop a self-paced GIS-RP fundamentals course.

• Produce searchable GIS-RP Tips and Tricks videos lasting approximately two to five minutes with digital tags.

• Conduct regularly scheduled virtual GIS-RP training.

• Provide virtual support for the DCS G-4 Real Property Workshop.

• Plan and execute tailored onsite training for Army installations.

• Analyze installation challenges, workflows, reconciliation activities, emerging technologies, and Army directives to customize training.

• Support ArcGIS Pro desktop mapping templates for installation real-property and IGI&S personnel.

• Assist with internal training plans and local Real Property/GIS Management SOPs.

• Facilitate OCONUS installation training through virtual review meetings.

• Deliver technical documentation, implementation guidance, and senior-level subject-matter expertise.

• Collaborate with management analysts, GIS specialists, software quality personnel, business-intelligence analysts, and project leaders.

• Submit draft training materials at least 15 business days prior to training and final materials at least five days before training.

• Prepare training documentation and presentations using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

• Support meeting notes, monthly status reporting, annual reporting, and other training documentation.

• Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field of study.

• Advanced technical understanding of specialized GIS applications.

• Advanced technical proficiency in HQIIS.

• Advanced technical knowledge of Army real-property applications and their operational environments.

• Experience in conducting high-level geospatial-systems analysis.

• Proven experience in developing technical and instructional documentation.

• Experience in delivering training on complex technical or operational topics.

• Background in providing implementation advice for intricate GIS issues.

• Senior-level subject-matter expertise necessary for effective implementation support.

• Experience and knowledge in key tasks and high-impact assignments.

• Demonstrated understanding of DoD and Army real-property and IGI&S policies and guidance.

• Proven knowledge of the latest DCS G-4 IGI&S QAPs.

• Familiarity with the most recent SDSFIE Army Adaptation.

• Proficient understanding of Esri ArcGIS application software.

• Ability to analyze technical requirements and translate them into accurate, audience-appropriate instructional content.

• Skill in developing virtual, onsite, self-paced, and short-form instructional products.

• Capability to train both novice and experienced real-property and GIS specialists.

• Ability to customize instruction based on installation conditions, workflows, data discrepancies, and policy changes.

• Competence in creating clear written procedures, presentation materials, technical guidance, and supporting documentation.

• Ability to provide senior-level technical instruction, facilitation, and implementation advice.

• Capacity to deliver factually accurate outputs that are free from grammatical and spelling errors.

• Ability to operate as an experienced professional acceptable to the U.S. Army.
