Senior Title Examiner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct title searches and analyze property records to verify ownership and the chain of title.

• Utilize online county records, title plants, public-record databases, and other title research resources to run titles.

• Assess title searches and associated documentation for thoroughness and precision.

• Recognize ownership, vesting, mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, restrictions, rights-of-way, and other factors that impact title.

• Review and interpret deeds, deeds of trust, mortgages, releases, liens, judgments, probate documents, plats, maps, and other recorded instruments.

• Detect breaks in the chain of title and other possible title issues.

• Prepare or assist in the preparation of title reports, title commitments, or underwriting documentation based on the findings of the search.

• Investigate additional records when clarification or supplementary documentation is necessary.

• Collaborate with title examiners, underwriters, abstractors, and other title professionals to address title-related inquiries and discrepancies.

• Conduct quality assurance checks and make corrections on completed title searches when necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 9 years of experience in the title industry, focusing on title searches, title examination, abstracting, or title underwriting within the United States.

• Extensive hands-on experience conducting or executing title searches and researching property records.

• Proficient in reviewing deeds, mortgages, liens, judgments, probate documents, easements, right-of-ways, plats, maps, and comparable title documents.

• Able to work independently with county records, title plants, and online title research systems.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong ability to accurately interpret property and legal record information.
