Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Cardiovascular Community

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Promote the approved indications of BMS products within a designated territory or region.

• Stimulate demand for BMS medications among suitable patients.

• Engage healthcare providers through unique customer experiences and scientific discussions that align with product labeling.

• Establish and maintain professional credibility with regional thought leaders, community-based physicians, healthcare providers, office staff, and other stakeholders in patient care.

• Collaborate with various BMS functions to fulfill healthcare provider needs and enhance customer experience.

• Dedicate significant time in the field with external clients.

• Develop and execute comprehensive territory and account strategies.

• Utilize SOPHIA to extract insights and dynamically adjust call plans.

• Provide leadership with feedback on tools for continuous improvement.

• Present authorized scientific materials and publications to healthcare providers.

• Conduct in-office presentations, including lunch-and-learns.

• Organize external speaker events and manage approved speakers, scheduling, and logistics.

• Maintain expertise in emerging data for approved indications.

• Engage Medical on Call for unsolicited inquiries and complex technical questions.

• Collaborate with other field teams.

• Collect and disseminate customer insights internally.

• Adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and BMS policies.


⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced scientific degree and/or over 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology sales, MSL, healthcare provider roles, or nursing.

• Proven ability to communicate scientific or clinical data effectively and persuasively.

• Experience in establishing and maintaining credibility with key customers, office personnel, and influence networks.

• Preferred background in cardiovascular health.

• Strong account management capabilities.

• Exceptional selling skills with a documented track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.

• Ability to work collaboratively across functions.

• Strong promotional and selling abilities.

• Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to drive business outcomes.

• Experience in identifying, engaging, and building credibility with customers throughout the patient care continuum.

• Proficient problem-solving and account management skills.

• Understanding of the patient journey.

• Excellent communication and presentation capabilities.

• Strong learning orientation and enthusiasm for science.

• Competence in analyzing prescribing trends, market dynamics, healthcare provider preferences, and clinical data.

• Ability to segment healthcare providers and customize communication and product presentations.

• Proficient in using CE^3 for insights and dynamic call planning.

• Familiarity with digital communication and technology.

• Competent in utilizing CE^3 and other CRM tools.

• Ability to leverage Medical on Call technology.

• Strong business acumen.

• High integrity and sound judgment.

• Must be at least 21 years old.

• Valid driver’s license in good standing from the state of residence.

• Acceptable driving risk level as evaluated by the Company.
