Senior Tester

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Act as the main testing point of contact between Application Development Organizations and stakeholders from Federal Government Agencies.

• Create and execute adaptable, scalable testing strategies to support Agile/DevOps development initiatives.

• Design and uphold automated testing solutions wherever possible.

• Perform compliance testing in accordance with federal, industry, and security standards, including Section 508, FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST.

• Work collaboratively with government and partner development teams to ensure test strategies align with compliance and functional specifications.

• Gather, analyze, and present both quantitative and qualitative data related to software testing and development processes.

• Provide technical guidance and testing leadership while mentoring team members on best practices for automation and compliance testing.

• Identify avenues for ongoing process enhancements to boost efficiency and quality.

• Comprehend applications from both technical and business viewpoints to guarantee comprehensive testing coverage.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8+ years in IT, with a strong emphasis on software testing.

• Expert-level, hands-on experience with Selenium, Cucumber, and automated testing frameworks.

• Proven experience in compliance validation for accessibility (Section 508/WCAG), security (NIST, FedRAMP, FISMA), and data privacy regulations.

• Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation capabilities.

• Strong grasp of Agile testing methodologies, including TDD, ATDD, and Continuous Testing.

• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS preferred).

• Experience with AWS Testing.

• Skilled in both manual and automated testing for web-based and integrated systems.

• Demonstrated capability to manage multiple complex tasks, troubleshoot effectively, and provide strategic thought leadership in testing methodologies.

• Established history of fostering strong relationships with clients, development teams, and cross-functional partners.

• Dedication to quality, precision, and thoroughness in all testing endeavors.

• Preferred: experience with Selenium, Cucumber, SoapUI, JMeter, LoadRunner.

• Preferred: familiarity with Axe, Wave, JAWS, NVDA, SortSite, ChromeLens, and other Section 508/WCAG testing tools.

• Preferred: experience with dynamic and static security scanning tools, continuous vulnerability testing, and penetration testing.

• Preferred: knowledge of load, stress, and monitoring tools.

• Preferred: programming languages such as Javascript, Typescript, and Python.

• Preferred: experience with Git, Jenkins, API testing, SQL scripting, JIRA, and Confluence.
