Senior Test Engineer – Automation, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Lead the completion of stories, encompassing automated testing and documentation.

• Develop, improve, and sustain test automation frameworks.

• Specify and implement automated tests utilizing Cucumber and Java.

• Evaluate microservices and backend components for performance and dependability.

• Confirm the functionality of REST APIs, web services, XML/JSON data, and SQL interactions.

• Facilitate CI/CD pipelines and continuous delivery efforts.

• Incorporate secure development practices and compliance standards into testing processes.

• Engage in Scrum/Agile ceremonies and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Guide team members on quality standards and best practices.

• Assist stakeholders with decision-making and QA strategy development.

• Assess and provide insights on new testing tools, techniques, and methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in QA Automation, including the creation and upkeep of test automation frameworks.

• Proficient in Cucumber and Java.

• Experience in testing microservices and backend components.

• Familiarity with REST, web services, XML, JSON, SQL, Tomcat, and Linux.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, specifically Jenkins.

• Knowledge of secure development methodologies.

• Understanding of functional, integration, and regression testing practices.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and continuous delivery setups.

• Capability to mentor team members and advocate for QA best practices.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

• High motivation and performance, with a focus on achieving objectives and delivering outcomes.

• Upper-Intermediate+ proficiency in English.

• A BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.

• Background in Payments, FinTech, or Financial Services is advantageous.

• Knowledge of transaction processing systems is a plus.

• Experience with performance, resilience, or other non-functional testing is desirable.
