This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.
• Create, write, and refine technical documentation, such as API documentation, developer guides, reference materials, and release notes.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and fellow documentation writers to collect information and ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
• Conduct research on technical information by engaging with subject matter experts, reviewing product specifications, and testing software.
• Validate the accuracy of documentation content and software features through testing.
• Utilize CLI tools to test and document software functionalities.
• Oversee and update existing documentation, ensuring revisions and the removal of outdated content.
• Enhance and implement documentation processes and standards, including document management and Git-based version control.
• Assess documentation for technical precision and compliance with established guidelines.
• Contribute to project planning and management related to documentation deliverables.
• Engage in product management discussions to ensure documentation aligns with product strategy.
• Lead documentation strategy for a specific product area, prioritizing tasks based on user adoption, support demands, user behavior, support tickets, and adoption metrics.
• Collaborate with product and field teams to identify documentation deficiencies and suggest content investments.
• Over 3 years of experience in technical writing within a software development context.
• Demonstrated proficiency in software documentation, including API documentation and developer guides.
• Familiarity with API testing and experience using relevant tools.
• Skilled in using Command Line Interface (CLI).
• Experience or a strong interest in AI.
• Extensive experience with Git for version control and collaboration purposes.
• Proven ability to conduct thorough research and synthesize complex technical information.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and precision.
• Experience in documentation maintenance, document management, and review processes.
• Experience managing a documentation area as if it were a product, establishing priorities based on user impact and adoption.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
