This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
β’ Drive sales growth for industrial sensors, electronic components, and related technical solutions within the designated territory.
β’ Cultivate relationships with OEMs, manufacturers, engineering teams, system integrators, distributors, and various industrial clients.
β’ Discover new business opportunities and enhance existing accounts through proactive territory management.
β’ Collaborate with customer engineering, purchasing, operations, and technical teams to comprehend applications and suggest suitable products and solutions.
β’ Oversee the entire sales process from prospecting and technical evaluation to quotation, negotiation, closing, and account development.
β’ Create and sustain a robust opportunity pipeline along with precise sales forecasts.
β’ Liaise with internal product, application engineering, marketing, and channel teams to fulfill customer needs.
β’ Establish distributor and channel partnerships to boost market penetration.
β’ Travel frequently throughout the territory to assist customers, distributors, and new business development initiatives.
β’ 3β5+ years of direct technical sales, territory sales, account management, or business development experience in selling industrial sensors, electronic components, electromechanical components, or industrial automation components.
β’ Proven experience in selling industrial sensors, photoelectric/proximity sensors, encoders, safety sensors, machine vision products, connectors/interconnect products, active/passive electronic components, electromechanical components, or similar industrial automation/electronics products.
β’ Experience selling directly to OEMs, manufacturers, engineering organizations, or industrial clients, and/or through specialized electronics or automation distribution networks.
β’ Demonstrated success in developing and managing a geographic sales territory.
β’ Ability to grasp customer applications and articulate the technical value of products to engineers and technical decision-makers.
β’ Experience managing the complete B2B sales cycle, which includes prospecting, account development, pipeline management, negotiation, and closing.
β’ Willingness and capability to travel approximately 50%, with regular vehicle travel throughout the Southeast.
β’ Must be located within a reasonable distance from the territory, with Atlanta preferred and North Carolina/South Carolina as secondary options.
β’ Direct experience in selling industrial sensor technologies.
β’ Background in working for an industrial sensor, electronic component, or automation manufacturer.
β’ Experience with a specialized electronics or automation distributor.
β’ Established connections with OEMs, industrial manufacturing, machine-building, or automation clients.
β’ Experience in selling through both direct and distribution/channel models.
β’ Familiarity with Salesforce or a similar CRM platform.
β’ A technical degree or equivalent experience in dealing with engineering-driven products and clients.
β’ Proven track record of meeting or exceeding territory sales targets.
