Senior Technical Project Manager – PMO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assume complete responsibility for technical projects spanning development teams and business functions.

• Convert vague requirements into actionable plans and proactively challenge those requirements.

• Organize initiatives into scalable roadmaps, iterations, and phases for implementation.

• Manage priorities, dependencies, and the sequencing of deliveries across various teams and simultaneous workstreams.

• Early identification of resource bottlenecks and delivery risks.

• Maintain transparency through structured reporting, clear governance, and efficient escalation management.

• Utilize Jira, Confluence, and similar project management tools.

• Continuously enhance PMO standards and processes.

• Assist in portfolio alignment and prioritization.

• Mentor junior project managers.

• Report directly to the Head of Strategy Execution & ESG.

• Make a measurable contribution to the execution of Contabo’s strategic roadmap.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in technical project or program management within software development or technical delivery organizations.

• Demonstrated end-to-end delivery ownership of cross-functional initiatives involving multiple parallel workstreams.

• Strong expertise in stakeholder and escalation management.

• High level of ownership and composure in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and ambiguity.

• Confident use of standard PM tools such as Jira and Confluence, or similar alternatives.

• Experience in a cloud, hosting, or IT infrastructure setting, along with knowledge of agile scaling, PMO, or portfolio management (preferred).

• A completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, or a related qualification.

• Professional fluency in English.

• Proficiency in German and certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, or PSM are advantageous.
