Senior Project Manager, IT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee and coordinate the successful execution of intricate IT projects

• Create project charters, business plans, project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans

• Establish project goals, scope, assumptions, timelines, dependencies, risks, and deliverables

• Manage various projects, project resources, vendors, and governance processes

• Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate project-related risks

• Develop and uphold comprehensive project schedules and work plans

• Collect and document both business and technical requirements

• Oversee the design and delivery of IT solutions

• Generate project status updates and presentations for executive stakeholders

• Collaborate closely with project sponsors, the PMO, business leaders, and IT executives

• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and nurture strong relationships with project stakeholders

• Monitor and address project issues, risks, and dependencies

• Provide leadership and direction to project team members

• Assist with change management and communication initiatives

• Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and frameworks

• Ensure that solutions are in line with enterprise architecture, policies, standards, and business goals

• Assess project results and pinpoint opportunities for ongoing improvement

⛳️ Requirements

• PMP certification

• Over 10 years of experience in developing project schedules

• More than 10 years of experience in identifying, analyzing, and managing risks on large, complex projects

• At least 5 years of experience in implementing cloud-based projects and services

• A total of 12 years of combined education and PMP experience

• Proven experience in developing and delivering large-scale IT solutions

• Familiarity with organizational policies, processes, and procedures

• Experience in leading and facilitating meetings with stakeholders across all levels

• Background in managing large-scale projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies

• Experience in applying security controls to project solutions and designs

• Knowledge of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning

• Experience in implementing AI projects

• Skills in process improvement, documentation, and requirements gathering

• Previous experience working in or supporting the public sector
