This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Lead the strategic direction for the event data pipeline.
• Collaborate with data engineering to enhance the ingestion, normalization, and accessibility of event data, ensuring it is clean and governed across the platform.
• Manage the product backlog for stream event ingestion, machine learning, and platform feature data normalization, along with governed data infrastructure.
• Facilitate sprint execution in partnership with data engineering teams.
• Convert use cases and functional requirements from Sales, Customer Experience (CX), and other cross-functional teams into detailed product requirements.
• Maintain a proactive presence in discussions with Sales and CX, linking team efforts to customer and business needs.
• Contribute to the overall data and integrations portfolio and ensure a cohesive platform roadmap.
• Establish and monitor reliability and quality benchmarks for delivered pipeline features.
• Oversee performance in the 60 to 90 days post-launch.
• Stay updated on the event data and data platform landscape, actively participating in architectural trade-off discussions.
• Champion customer interests in all interactions and decisions.
• Report directly to the Director of Product Management for Data and Integrations.
• Over 5 years of product management experience collaborating closely with engineering teams on technically complex, data-driven products.
• Proficient in event data pipeline concepts, including stream event ingestion, real-time data processing, and data normalization.
• Knowledgeable about modern data stack technologies like Snowflake, Kafka, Databricks, or Airflow.
• Previous experience in software engineering or data engineering is highly advantageous.
• Proven ability to interpret use cases and functional requirements from both commercial and non-technical stakeholders into clear, actionable product specifications.
• Skilled at establishing credibility with both data engineering teams and commercial partners, such as Sales and CX.
• Strong prioritization skills across a defined backlog, with attention to broader platform dependencies.
• Effective in clear, plain-language communication, comfortable in both sprint ceremonies and customer-facing discussions.
