
Senior Technical Marketing Engineer β Network Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Collaborate with Product Management to identify, validate, and refine automation-related capabilities and use cases.
β’ Design and promote customer workflows utilizing NQE, APIs, and CI/CD-driven verification processes.
β’ Improve existing product integrations and create new ones across the network and IT ecosystem.
β’ Construct and maintain laboratory environments for demonstrations, technical validation, and exploration of automation use cases.
β’ Create technical documentation, including training materials, demo guides, and sales enablement resources.
β’ Work alongside Marketing to produce whitepapers, solution briefs, blogs, presentations, and videos.
β’ Equip Sales and Solutions teams with automation-centric demos, messaging, and technical training.
β’ Represent Forward at customer meetings, webinars, and industry events.
β’ Share thought leadership on network automation, NetDevOps, and intent-based networking.
β’ Collect field and market insights to influence the product roadmap and automation strategy.
β’ Over 8 years of experience in roles such as Technical Marketing Engineer, Sales Engineer, Network Engineer, or another customer-facing technical position.
β’ In-depth understanding of enterprise networking concepts, including routing, switching, and network change management.
β’ Familiarity with NetDevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, or infrastructure-as-code workflows related to networking.
β’ Knowledge of source control systems (Git), API integration, and the development of automation against network data models.
β’ Practical experience with network automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Python, REST APIs, or similar technologies).
β’ Experience managing complex enterprise networks across on-premises, virtualized, and cloud environments.
β’ Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform and a basic understanding of virtualization and containerized environments.
β’ Proven capability to develop and maintain lab environments for demonstrations and technical validation.
β’ Strong communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Networking, or a related discipline.
β’ Ability to collaborate effectively across Product, Sales, and Marketing teams.
β’ Working knowledge of data query and transformation languages (e.g., GraphQL, JSONPath, or a query engine such as Forward's NQE).
β’ Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and practical experience in exploring AI-driven use cases within network operations or data analysis.
β’ Basic knowledge of Linux administration.
β’ Awareness of Forward or similar network visibility, verification, or analytics platforms.
β’ Experience presenting at conferences, webinars, or customer-oriented technical events.
