πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Design, implement, and support intricate enterprise LAN and WAN solutions spanning both traditional routed/switched infrastructures and SDN architectures.

β€’ Lead SD-WAN implementations, encompassing controller/orchestrator onboarding, zero-touch provisioning (ZTP), policy creation, traffic segmentation, and QoS configuration.

β€’ Design and deploy SD-Access or similar campus fabric solutions featuring segmentation, network access control integration, and intent-based automation.

β€’ Execute WAN circuit migrations and cutovers, which include transitions from MPLS to SD-WAN and modernization projects for campus LAN.

β€’ Design and implement SD-Branch solutions that integrate WAN connectivity, LAN switching, security, and wireless functionalities.

β€’ Support, troubleshoot, install, and configure enterprise routing, switching, and SDN infrastructures in Cisco-centric and multi-vendor environments.

β€’ Assess, document, and report on enterprise networks to facilitate modernization, SDN adoption, and infrastructure refresh initiatives.

β€’ Maintain industry certifications as necessary to uphold strategic OEM partnerships.

β€’ Review and approve Statements of Work (SOWs) and Level of Effort (LOE) estimates for the Modern Infrastructure practice.

β€’ Collaborate with design engineering teams on larger LAN, WAN, and SDN projects and programs.

β€’ Clearly articulate SDN, cloud networking, and automation capabilities and deployment methodologies to both internal and customer-facing audiences.

β€’ Assist pre-sales efforts with customer engagements, technical presentations, and solution demonstrations.

β€’ Contribute to the development, enhancement, and automation of delivery methodologies.

β€’ Perform additional business duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Over 7 years of relevant experience in a field or professional services role, with a strong emphasis on enterprise LAN/WAN design and deployment.

β€’ Current professional-level networking certification is required (Cisco CCNP Enterprise preferred; JNCIP, ACCP, or NSE7 will also be considered).

β€’ CCIE or an equivalent expert-level certification is strongly preferred.

β€’ Additional OEM certifications are valued (PCNSE, JNCIP, NSE7, ACCP, etc.).

β€’ Extensive hands-on experience with enterprise routing and switching platforms from one or more major vendors, including Cisco Catalyst/ASR/ISR, Juniper EX/MX, Aruba CX, or HPE.

β€’ Proven expertise in enterprise WAN design and implementation, covering MPLS, DIA, broadband aggregation, and multi-WAN failover architectures.

β€’ Strong proficiency in BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP across multi-site environments.

β€’ Solid foundation in VLANs, STP variants, LACP, chassis stacking/virtualization, and campus network design.

β€’ Experience with WAN QoS design and implementation.

β€’ Familiarity with enterprise network security technologies, including next-generation firewalls.

β€’ Hands-on experience with at least one SDN platform covering WAN, campus LAN, or branch domains.

β€’ Experience with centralized/cloud network management and intent-based automation platforms is preferred.

β€’ Familiarity with WAN observability and synthetic monitoring tools is preferred.

β€’ Experience with SASE and cloud-delivered security architectures is preferred.

β€’ DMVPN and FlexVPN design and migration experience is preferred.

β€’ Experience with cloud network connectivity and design is preferred.

β€’ Experience with network programmability, automation, and scripting is preferred.

β€’ Previous experience as a Technical Lead, Senior Engineer, or Principal Engineer in a VAR or professional services environment is preferred.

β€’ Top Secret clearance is preferred or the ability to obtain one is desired.

β€’ Strong communication skills to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

β€’ Ability to produce High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), implementation plans, and change control documentation.

β€’ Capacity to manage projects independently or as part of a larger engineering team.

β€’ Excellent time management skills.

β€’ U.S. Citizenship is required.

β€’ Must be able and available to travel by plane and car for extended periods as necessary.
