This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee the technical direction of one or more teams responsible for developing Solventum products, including Developers and Quality Assurance personnel.
• Recruit team members, set and monitor goals and objectives, distribute workload, provide training, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Product Analysts to enhance functionality within the current technology stack while architecting and developing a new technology stack.
• Define technical direction, prioritize tasks, and maintain the team backlog in coordination with Product Owners, Business Manager, and Architects.
• Guide development staff in areas such as analysis, software design, prototyping, coding, debugging, test case creation and automation, test execution, documentation, support, and infrastructure maintenance.
• Engage in cross-functional teams and collaborate with Product Owners, Business Leaders, Developers, and others.
• Advocate for Agile principles across the organization.
• Foster a culture of innovation and promote professional growth.
• Manage conflict and change to maintain productivity.
• Investigate new technologies and remain informed about industry trends.
• Enhance the overall technical proficiency of the engineering team.
• Create a strategic and technical roadmap with the Business Manager addressing business requirements, efficiencies, and revenue growth.
• Ensure adherence to corporate policies, procedures, and security standards.
• A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or Information Systems, completed and verified prior to employment commencement.
• A minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in software development.
• At least eight (8) years of leadership experience in roles such as supervisor, manager, or team lead.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences and articulate business objectives, priorities, and strategies to technical teams.
• Proven experience leading teams in the development of Java and .NET applications.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems in a logical, methodical, and efficient manner.
• Capability to guide and influence others effectively.
• Must possess legal authorization to work in the country of employment without the need for sponsorship for employment visa status.
• Familiarity with AWS, web services, web application development, CI/CD, Java, SQL, relational database design, Agile methodology, and experience with distributed teams would be advantageous for candidates.
