Senior Technical Infrastructure Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the Technical Infrastructure Program Group.

• Take ownership of remediation and operational enhancement programs in IREN's current AI infrastructure portfolio across Canada.

• Identify gaps in infrastructure, recurring operational challenges, and prospects for enhancing reliability, efficiency, and scalability.

• Create remediation roadmaps that align with business priorities and operational goals.

• Coordinate execution efforts across Engineering, Operations, Networking, Facilities, Procurement, Security, and OEM vendors.

• Drive quantifiable improvements in infrastructure stability, service reliability, and operational maturity.

• Transition newly implemented infrastructure into steady-state operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Own the strategy and implementation of extensive operational remediation programs.

• Set program objectives, milestones, and measurable success metrics.

• Develop governance frameworks that support infrastructure reliability efforts.

• Create and maintain Stage Gate Reviews, RACI Matrices, Risk Registers, Dependency Tracking, Executive Dashboards, and Infrastructure Delivery Playbooks.

• Enhance program management practices within the Technical Program Management organization.

• Develop and maintain cohesive program schedules.

• Manage milestone planning, dependency management, schedule forecasting, and critical path analysis.

• Coordinate long-term procurement activities.

• Monitor schedule performance and mitigate delivery risks.

• Provide reporting on programs, forecasts, and updates for executives.

• Lead remediation efforts that support GPU Cloud Infrastructure, HPC, AI Compute Platforms, data centers, networks, fiber connectivity, power and cooling systems, capacity optimization, operational readiness, and lifecycle management.

• Collaborate with OEM vendors and network providers.

• Communicate program health, risks, and strategic recommendations to Senior Leadership.

• Build relationships across Engineering, Operations, Construction, Procurement, and executive leadership.

• Facilitate data-driven decision-making and ensure transparent reporting.

• Resolve cross-functional issues while ensuring alignment with business objectives.

• Assist with program forecasting and capital planning.

• Develop strategies to mitigate technical, operational, and vendor-related risks.

• Mentor Technical Program Managers and project team members.

• Engage in recruitment and onboarding activities.

• Advocate for standardized program management practices.

• Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence.

• Contribute to the enhancement of IREN's Technical Program Management function.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 8+ years of experience in Technical Program or Project Management.

• Proven experience in delivering enterprise-scale infrastructure remediation or operational enhancement programs.

• Experience in compute, networking, storage, cloud, HPC, AI infrastructure, systems administration, or data center operations.

• Strong background in managing cross-functional engineering teams and engaging with executive stakeholders.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capacity to influence technical decisions without direct authority.

• Experience in supporting AI infrastructure or hyperscale data center environments.

• Familiarity with GPU compute platforms and HPC infrastructure.

• Experience in managing operational remediation, infrastructure lifecycle, or reliability improvement initiatives.

• Knowledge of Dell, NVIDIA, Lenovo, Supermicro, and multi-OEM environments.

• Understanding of ROCE, InfiniBand, or similar enterprise networking technologies.

• Experience with NetBox, Nlyte DCIM, or comparable platforms.

• Advanced scheduling expertise with Jira, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent tools.

• PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, APM, or CSM certification.
