This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Oversee the Technical Infrastructure Program Group.
β’ Take ownership of remediation and operational enhancement programs in IREN's current AI infrastructure portfolio across Canada.
β’ Identify gaps in infrastructure, recurring operational challenges, and prospects for enhancing reliability, efficiency, and scalability.
β’ Create remediation roadmaps that align with business priorities and operational goals.
β’ Coordinate execution efforts across Engineering, Operations, Networking, Facilities, Procurement, Security, and OEM vendors.
β’ Drive quantifiable improvements in infrastructure stability, service reliability, and operational maturity.
β’ Transition newly implemented infrastructure into steady-state operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
β’ Own the strategy and implementation of extensive operational remediation programs.
β’ Set program objectives, milestones, and measurable success metrics.
β’ Develop governance frameworks that support infrastructure reliability efforts.
β’ Create and maintain Stage Gate Reviews, RACI Matrices, Risk Registers, Dependency Tracking, Executive Dashboards, and Infrastructure Delivery Playbooks.
β’ Enhance program management practices within the Technical Program Management organization.
β’ Develop and maintain cohesive program schedules.
β’ Manage milestone planning, dependency management, schedule forecasting, and critical path analysis.
β’ Coordinate long-term procurement activities.
β’ Monitor schedule performance and mitigate delivery risks.
β’ Provide reporting on programs, forecasts, and updates for executives.
β’ Lead remediation efforts that support GPU Cloud Infrastructure, HPC, AI Compute Platforms, data centers, networks, fiber connectivity, power and cooling systems, capacity optimization, operational readiness, and lifecycle management.
β’ Collaborate with OEM vendors and network providers.
β’ Communicate program health, risks, and strategic recommendations to Senior Leadership.
β’ Build relationships across Engineering, Operations, Construction, Procurement, and executive leadership.
β’ Facilitate data-driven decision-making and ensure transparent reporting.
β’ Resolve cross-functional issues while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
β’ Assist with program forecasting and capital planning.
β’ Develop strategies to mitigate technical, operational, and vendor-related risks.
β’ Mentor Technical Program Managers and project team members.
β’ Engage in recruitment and onboarding activities.
β’ Advocate for standardized program management practices.
β’ Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence.
β’ Contribute to the enhancement of IREN's Technical Program Management function.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
β’ 8+ years of experience in Technical Program or Project Management.
β’ Proven experience in delivering enterprise-scale infrastructure remediation or operational enhancement programs.
β’ Experience in compute, networking, storage, cloud, HPC, AI infrastructure, systems administration, or data center operations.
β’ Strong background in managing cross-functional engineering teams and engaging with executive stakeholders.
β’ Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
β’ Capacity to influence technical decisions without direct authority.
β’ Experience in supporting AI infrastructure or hyperscale data center environments.
β’ Familiarity with GPU compute platforms and HPC infrastructure.
β’ Experience in managing operational remediation, infrastructure lifecycle, or reliability improvement initiatives.
β’ Knowledge of Dell, NVIDIA, Lenovo, Supermicro, and multi-OEM environments.
β’ Understanding of ROCE, InfiniBand, or similar enterprise networking technologies.
β’ Experience with NetBox, Nlyte DCIM, or comparable platforms.
β’ Advanced scheduling expertise with Jira, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent tools.
β’ PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, APM, or CSM certification.
