This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Assist in the execution of K12's academic strategy by converting priorities into actionable plans, processes, tools, resources, and support for schools.
β’ Oversee essential elements of the annual K12 School Playbook process, including managing timelines, templates, guidance, communications, review workflows, documentation, and follow-up.
β’ Aid in the evaluation of school Playbooks to ensure quality, coherence, and alignment with K12 standards.
β’ Organize the Playbook review and feedback process, monitor necessary revisions and emerging trends, and ensure consistent application of established quality standards.
β’ Examine Playbooks, implementation evidence, academic performance, engagement, graduation, and accountability data to pinpoint common strengths, challenges, and opportunities across schools.
β’ Compile findings from various schools and assist in identifying, documenting, and disseminating effective, evidence-based practices that can be scaled across the portfolio.
β’ Create and sustain academic frameworks, implementation guides, tools, exemplars, resources, and other materials that support robust Tier 1 academic practices and their consistent execution.
β’ Facilitate the implementation and monitoring of academic initiatives, recognize implementation obstacles, and suggest modifications based on data and feedback from schools.
β’ Collaborate with school and portfolio leaders to collect feedback, assess implementation needs, and promote the effective adoption of academic priorities and practices.
β’ Develop and manage professional learning opportunities, communications, and resources related to academic strategy, the School Playbook, and key academic practices.
β’ Oversee project plans, timelines, deliverables, documentation, and cross-functional coordination for designated academic initiatives.
β’ Work alongside Accountability, Assessment, Research, Curriculum and Instruction, School Services, Transformation, Special Programs, School Counseling, Career Readiness, and other teams to facilitate aligned implementation.
β’ Prepare analyses, summaries, presentations, and recommendations for the Director of Academic Strategy and other leaders concerning academic performance, Playbook implementation, emerging trends, and strategic initiatives.
β’ Promote continuous improvement by monitoring implementation and outcomes, gathering stakeholder feedback, and suggesting enhancements to academic processes, tools, and support systems.
β’ This is an individual contributor role with no supervisory responsibilities.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in education, curriculum and instruction, educational leadership, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
β’ A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in Kβ12 education, instructional leadership, academic programs, school support, project or program management, or a related field.
β’ Proven experience in coordinating complex projects or initiatives that involve multiple stakeholders.
β’ Proficient in utilizing academic or student performance data to identify trends and facilitate decision-making.
β’ Strong understanding of effective Kβ12 instructional practices and systems that foster student academic success.
β’ Capability to analyze both quantitative and qualitative data, identify patterns, and convert findings into clear recommendations and resources.
β’ Excellent project and program management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and multiple priorities.
β’ Demonstrated ability to create clear, practical tools, guidance, resources, and communications for school or instructional audiences.
β’ Exceptional attention to detail with the capacity to maintain quality and consistency across complex processes and deliverables.
β’ Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and organizational levels and influence others without direct authority.
β’ Strong written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills.
β’ Excellent organizational skills, initiative, and results-oriented mindset in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
