This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the development and upkeep of operational, business, system, data, and integration architecture for JTMS utilizing MBSE methodologies and DoDAF/UAF frameworks.
• Create and manage SysML/UML system models that encapsulate requirements, workflows, interfaces, constraints, and comprehensive mission threads with complete traceability.
• Foster the implementation of the digital thread, authoritative model repositories, configuration management, and model-driven decision support.
• Convert business, operational, and compliance requirements into scalable solution architectures that facilitate COTS/ERP implementation and enterprise integration.
• Outline integration patterns, interface specifications, data exchanges, and interoperability needs across DoD, Service, Agency, and partner systems.
• Implement architecture governance, modeling standards, technical baselines, and design review procedures.
• Present briefings to senior government and military leadership.
• Collaborate with functional, engineering, cybersecurity, testing, and program teams to address gaps, risks, and cross-domain dependencies.
• Contribute to the development of technology roadmaps, transition planning, implementation strategies, and business process reengineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Over 7 years of experience in enterprise/system/solution architecture for large-scale federal or DoD IT programs.
• More than 5 years of practical MBSE and/or Digital Engineering experience in complex system-of-systems environments.
• Proven experience in developing architecture products using SysML, UML, and DoDAF/UAF or similar modeling frameworks.
• Familiarity with the automated generation of technical documentation, reports, and deliverables directly from system architecture models.
• Expertise in MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler (MagicDraw), Sparx EA, or equivalent.
• Experience in enterprise integration, APIs/interfaces, data architecture, and requirements traceability.
• Demonstrated capability to align operational and business processes with system and solution architecture.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to deliver technical briefings and create architecture documentation for executive-level stakeholders.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
• Desired: Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, or a related field.
• Desired: Active DoD Secret clearance.
• Desired: Direct experience supporting USTRANSCOM, DoD logistics, transportation, supply chain, or ERP modernization initiatives.
• Desired: Knowledge of digital twin, digital baseline management, and AI/ML integration within MBSE frameworks.
• Desired: Experience designing solutions that merge COTS/ERP platforms with custom DoD systems.
• Desired: Proven ability to enhance MBSE tool capabilities through scripting, APIs, or plugins.
• Desired: Familiarity with cloud-based architectures, DevSecOps pipelines, or zero trust architectures in DoD environments, including AWS GovCloud and IL4/IL5.
• Desired: Understanding of the DoD acquisition lifecycle, JCIDS, and business process reengineering in enterprise transformation.
• Desired: Certifications such as OCSMP, INCOSE CSEP/ESEP, TOGAF, SAFe, or AWS/Azure architecture certifications.
