Senior Technical Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Execute and apply intricate accounting functions, including ASC 606 Revenue Recognition and ASC 842 Leases.

• Act as a subject matter expert on complex or strategic accounting issues.

• Prepare and review accounting entries, reconciliations, and relevant documentation.

• Ensure accurate revenue recognition for customer contracts and sales arrangements, encompassing subscriptions, reserves, chargebacks, sales allowances, and deductions.

• Review and manage lease accounting, including right-of-use assets and lease liabilities.

• Carry out and assist with general accounting tasks.

• Ensure adherence to accounting guidelines and company accounting policies consistently.

• Oversee, enhance, and standardize accounting processes and documentation.

• Assist in the annual financial statement audit.

• Prepare quarterly filing support schedules, including cash flow and stock-based compensation schedules.

• Aid in evaluating the accounting implications of significant or strategic transactions.

• Investigate and interpret complex accounting guidance under U.S. GAAP.

• Draft and maintain technical accounting memoranda.

• Monitor new accounting pronouncements and evaluate their impact on the organization.

• Support compliance with internal controls and maintain effective internal control over financial reporting.

• Report directly to the Corporate Controller.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

• Active CPA license.

• Background in a national public accounting firm.

• Over 8 years of experience in accounting.

• Experience in supervising others.

• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.

• Proficient in preparing technical accounting memos and reporting disclosures.

• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Sage, SAP, Oracle, or Netsuite is advantageous.

• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

• Proven ability to enhance processes with a continuous improvement mindset.

• Strong work ethic, sense of urgency, and unquestionable integrity.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
