Senior Tech Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Provide technical guidance to the development team, acting as the main technical resource and facilitating decision-making as well as addressing complex issues.

• Convert Product and Business requirements into feasible, scalable, adaptable, and sustainable technical solutions.

• Engage in defining architecture and designing solutions, taking into account requirements, risks, dependencies, and potential impacts.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, QA, Data, DevOps/SRE, and other departments.

• Advocate for the responsible implementation of Artificial Intelligence tools, including thorough code reviews, testing, and data protection practices.

• Ensure adherence to best practices in development, architecture, security, observability, testing, and documentation.

• Oversee initiatives from refinement to production, ensuring alignment of technical choices with business goals.

• Facilitate and encourage code reviews while continuously enhancing code quality.

• Identify, monitor, and manage technical debt.

• Assist in estimation, refinement, and breakdown of initiatives.

• Recognize technical risks, bottlenecks, dependencies, and obstacles.

• Support production incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and implement preventive and corrective measures.

• Encourage automation, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and enhancements in engineering processes.

• Track technical and flow metrics to enhance efficiency and quality.

• Serve as a technical mentor and advocate for knowledge sharing.

• Lead and document technical decisions, communicating associated risks, alternatives, and impacts to stakeholders.

• Maintain active involvement in engineering, including code analysis, troubleshooting, proof-of-concepts, and development of critical components.

• Balance technical quality, speed of delivery, and business requirements in a rapidly changing environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a Software Developer, ideally with prior experience as a Senior Developer.

• Experience in providing technical leadership to development teams.

• Extensive experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem, including modern .NET/.NET Core and ASP.NET Core.

• Frontend development experience using technologies such as TypeScript, Vue.js, Angular, or similar.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, Clean Code, and software engineering practices.

• Experience in developing and integrating REST APIs and distributed services.

• Familiarity with software architecture, including distributed applications, microservices, and service-oriented architectures.

• Proficiency with SQL Server, data modeling, SQL queries, and performance optimization.

• Understanding of Git and version control systems along with branching strategies.

• Experience with automated testing methods, including unit and integration tests.

• Knowledge of CI/CD principles and automated build, testing, and deployment workflows.

• Awareness of security practices in software development, including authentication, authorization, and API protection.

• Understanding of observability, covering logs, metrics, tracing, and troubleshooting applications in production environments.

• Ability to analyze issues pertaining to performance, scalability, availability, and reliability.

• Capability to conduct critical evaluations of code and architecture and recommend technically sound enhancements.

• Familiarity with agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and Kanban.

• Experience in planning, refinement, estimation, and tracking deliveries.

• Ability to interpret engineering and flow metrics such as Lead Time, Cycle Time, Throughput, Velocity, Bugs, Rework, and delivery stability.

• Proficient in using metrics as diagnostic tools for improvement rather than merely as accountability measures.

• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with technical teams, Product, Management, and business functions.

• Ability to steer technical discussions and forge consensus even amidst differing opinions.

• Strong organization, autonomy, accountability, and prioritization abilities.

• Capacity to balance technical quality, delivery speed, and business needs.

• Empathetic, collaborative, and resilient approach to working constructively in diverse contexts.

• Preferred: experience with GCP and/or AWS, Kubernetes, containers, Docker, messaging systems, Redis, API Gateway, highly available systems, DDD, Clean Architecture, CQRS, Event-Driven Architecture, Canary/Blue-Green/Feature Flag strategies, observability tools, SRE, DORA Metrics, e-commerce/logistics/payments/marketplace/SaaS industries, FinOps, and modernization of legacy systems.
