Senior Tax and Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Supervise and manage the preparation of tax returns for businesses and individuals.

• Create proactive tax strategies tailored for clients in various industries.

• Collaborate with clients to uncover planning opportunities and enhance results.

• Act as the primary resource for all tax-related inquiries within the firm.

• Assist in reviewing the work conducted by managers and team members.

• Establish optimal practices, processes, and standards for tax-related tasks.

• Educate and guide staff on tax concepts, strategies, and their implementation.

• Offer continuous feedback to enhance quality and consistency in work.

• Play a pivotal role in the development and expansion of the tax function over time.

• Participate in recruitment, structuring, and the long-term growth of the tax function.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in accounting is required.

• CPA certification.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting.

• Extensive experience in both business and individual taxation.

• Previous experience in reviewing returns and ensuring work quality.

• Experience in mentoring and leading team members.

• A strong desire to take ownership and develop a functional area.
