Senior Systems Engineer – Integration & Test

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Direct the SEIT team in the daily management of SEIT deliverables and serve as the deputy to the SEIT Senior Manager when necessary.

• Take ownership of the SEIT Center of Excellence for the Sapphire program.

• Create SEIT standards, templates, governance documents, playbooks, and a library of reusable artifacts.

• Establish and enhance the SEIT Foundation of Practice, incorporating program health metrics, KPIs, repeatable processes, and coaching initiatives.

• Manage and uphold the Sapphire SEIT Concept of Operations throughout the Design, Build, Test, Deploy, and Sustain lifecycle phases.

• Connect operational scenarios with requirements, architecture, IPT responsibilities, test strategies, and deployment/hypercare plans.

• Define and guide the Sapphire archetype roadmap, delivery plans, dependencies, capability increments, backlog, and release priorities.

• Institutionalize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) workflows, requirements management, traceability, integration test automation, and digital thread artifacts.

• Advocate for the integrated use of Teamcenter/PLM, DOORS/Polarion, ADO/Jira, BORIS, Planner, and Power BI.

• Lead the planning and execution of cross-functional integration with Development IPTs, I&I, PIO, Deployment, and Business Change Management.

• Eliminate cross-IPT execution blockers and establish recurring alignment meetings.

• Develop and present SEIT KPIs and health metrics to program leadership on a monthly basis.

• Promote continuous improvement through lessons learned, retrospectives, Communities of Practice, training, and instructional sessions.

• Prepare and present milestone readiness documentation and technical status updates to senior leadership, review boards, and governance committees.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent qualifications from non-U.S. institutions.

• Over 12 years of progressive experience in systems engineering, integration, and test leadership within aerospace, defense, or complex enterprise programs.

• More than 5 years of experience in system requirements definition, architecture design, integration strategies, automated testing, defect and configuration management.

• At least 5 years leading diverse engineering teams and mid-level managers across various technical domains in large-scale system development.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience with PLM, MES, ERP integrations, middleware technologies, interface control documents, and enterprise digital thread.

• Over 5 years of experience with ALM/SEIT tools for requirements management, architecture modeling, test automation, and end-to-end traceability.

• At least 5 years of analytical capabilities in strategic risk management and quantitative assessment.

• More than 5 years of experience in influencing, negotiating, and communicating with senior leaders and stakeholders.

• A minimum of 5 years collaborating with IT security, implementing compliance controls, and ensuring secure system verification.

• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; final U.S. Secret Clearance required after starting.

• U.S. Citizenship is necessary for security clearance eligibility.

• Must comply with U.S. export control regulations and qualify as a U.S. Person.

• Preferred: Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field.

• Preferred: Experience in leading aerospace or defense integrated systems.

• Preferred: Familiarity with DoD certification and regulatory compliance.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Agile development frameworks and tools such as Jira, ADO, and Microsoft Project.

• Preferred: Capability to lead agile transformation within engineering teams.
