Senior Systems Engineer – Federal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Support customers by conducting evaluations and benchmarks, configuring systems, and overseeing installations.

• Collaborate closely with the VAST R&D Engineering team to establish product requirements and usability, including the development of product specification documents.

• Engage in the formulation of sales strategies and tactics while managing technical responsibilities within customer accounts.

• Exhibit technical leadership and expertise in storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competing storage solutions in the DAS, NAS, and SAN markets.

• Develop architecture “blueprints” for repeatable solutions to be delivered by the Sales team to clients.

• Contribute to the growth of a distributed team of system and field engineers.

• Aid in the recruitment, hiring, and training of the Sales and Sales Engineering team.

• Advise on the formation, development, and management of a Support organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting the sales of enterprise storage solutions to large IT organizations.

• A positive attitude, optimism, and a clear vision.

• Capability to thrive in an unstructured environment.

• Familiarity with traditional unstructured data applications as well as next-generation analytics and web frameworks.

• Experience in preparing and/or delivering technical product and architecture presentations to clients and trainees.

• Proficient knowledge of virtualization, high-performance networking, and enterprise security.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
