Senior Systems Engineer, BizTech

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the design, setup, and upkeep of Oracle EPM Planning modules, which encompass Financials, Workforce, Capital, Cash Forecast, and Long Range Planning.

• Create and sustain business rules and calculation scripts utilizing Groovy scripting for data and forecasting models.

• Facilitate data flows with AWS data warehouse, Oracle ERP Cloud, and Workday through Data Management, EPM Automate, and internal Airbnb integration tools.

• Aid in the monthly Oracle patch cycle, which includes regression testing and impact assessment.

• Collaborate with FP&A to enhance budgeting and forecasting by automating manual models and improving data integration.

• Develop and maintain EPM Reports while assisting finance users in Smart View with ad-hoc analyses and template creation.

• Support the monthly forecasting process, address issues, and liaise with Oracle support as necessary.

• Design, construct, and implement AI agents and automated workflows for FP&A processes.

• Identify manual finance and systems processes suitable for AI automation.

• Work together with Finance and Tech partners to prioritize automation initiatives and deliver AI-generated forecasts, analyses, and insights.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical experience in Oracle Hyperion/EPM, with at least 2 years in EPM Cloud.

• Proficient in EPM Automate, Groovy scripting, form and report development, application optimization, and managing user access.

• At least 3 years of experience supporting finance functions such as FP&A, Accounting, Treasury, and Tax.

• Strong literacy in financial statements.

• Practical experience in building AI automation and AI agents, including agentic workflows and LLM-based automation using tools like Claude, Gemini, or GPT.

• Skilled in SQL for data validation, troubleshooting pipelines, and conducting ad-hoc analyses against warehouse tables.

• Experience in facilitating integrations between Oracle EPM and ERP through OIC or similar middleware.

• Familiar with operating data orchestration and ETL/ELT pipelines, which includes monitoring workflow health, managing and re-running failed tasks, reviewing execution logs, and coordinating pipeline incidents.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and document technical processes for non-technical audiences.

• Proficient in translating business requirements into scalable solutions and providing recommendations for decision-making.

• Must reside in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.
