Senior Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain comprehensive systems engineering models tailored for various customer and project types.

• Create systems engineering documents such as ConOps, requirements analyses and management, use cases, behavioral diagrams, system architectures, ICDs, trade studies, risk analyses, and verification plans.

• Generate systems engineering documentation utilizing tools like Visio, Word, Excel, SharePoint, or MBSE platforms including Cameo, CORE, DOORS, and Cradle.

• Lead or assist in design reviews and compile necessary systems engineering materials.

• Ensure compliance with ALTEN Technology Quality System processes.

• Act as a technical leader across various projects and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

• Convey requirements, risks, technical challenges, and system-level decisions to both internal teams and customers.

• Support the planning and execution of integration and verification activities.

• Oversee configuration control and ensure accurate maintenance of systems documentation.

• Track scope changes and report technical status to project management.

• Assist in project estimations and aid the sales/quoting process.

• Provide interim project management support when the Project Manager is unavailable.

• Mentor junior systems engineers as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technical Management.

• Over 6 years of engineering or product development experience with proven systems engineering leadership.

• Experience in Aerospace, Defense, or Medical Device sectors.

• Strong comprehension of systems engineering methodologies, requirements development, risk assessment, and architecture modeling.

• Capability to operate independently with minimal oversight.

• Excellent communication skills, including the capacity to convey technical information to customers and leadership effectively.

• Familiarity with MBSE tools such as Cameo, DOORS, Cradle, or CORE.
