Senior Systems Development Analyst – Node.js Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Engage in the complete lifecycle of backend solutions, from problem identification through to implementation, deployment, and production monitoring.

• Design, enhance, and sustain applications, APIs, and services utilizing Node.js as the core technology stack.

• Create and manage REST APIs and facilitate integrations between both internal and external systems.

• Work with distributed architectures, microservices, service-to-service communication, and messaging systems.

• Contribute to defining and advancing solution architectures.

• Implement Clean Code principles, Design Patterns, and software architecture best practices.

• Develop and uphold unit and integration tests.

• Execute resilience strategies such as Retry, Timeout, Circuit Breaker, and Fallback mechanisms.

• Investigate incidents, analyze logs, and troubleshoot issues in applications, integrations, and databases.

• Determine root causes and recommend permanent solutions.

• Work with relational databases, including the creation, review, and analysis of SQL queries.

• Assist in performance analysis and database troubleshooting.

• Utilize Azure DevOps, including version control, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Engage in code reviews and technical discussions.

• Evaluate solution impacts, risks, dependencies, effort, and complexity.

• Monitor applications in production and aid in incident resolution.

• Collaborate with teams in Development, Product, Quality, Infrastructure, Security, and more.

• Share knowledge and foster the technical growth of the team.

• Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with systems and services developed in Python or Java as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience or strong knowledge in backend development with Node.js.

• Proficiency in developing and consuming REST APIs.

• Familiarity with JavaScript and/or TypeScript in backend development.

• Experience with systems integration.

• Knowledge of distributed architectures and microservices.

• Understanding of messaging and asynchronous processing.

• Competence in relational databases and SQL.

• Skills in analyzing and diagnosing issues in applications and databases.

• Experience in unit and integration testing.

• Proficiency in Git and version control systems.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

• Knowledge of Design Patterns, Clean Code, and best practices in software engineering.

• Proficiency in failure handling and resilience patterns such as Circuit Breaker, Retry, Timeout, and Fallback.

• Understanding of application and API security principles.

• Experience in application troubleshooting and log analysis.

• Knowledge of production application monitoring and support.

• Familiarity with or experience in developing systems using Python or Java.

• Knowledge of Resilience4j or similar frameworks for managing failures.

• Experience with hexagonal architecture and event-driven architecture.

• Familiarity with non-relational databases.

• Knowledge of Escritural Receivables, registries, or regulated financial solutions.

• Experience with high-criticality or high-volume transactional applications.

• Background in technology companies, fintechs, or financial institutions.

• Understanding of banking integrations, payment methods, or financial connectivity.

• Experience in application observability and monitoring.

• Familiarity with modernizing applications or integrating with legacy systems.
