Senior Systems Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the administration and health of the server and application environments that support the product line.

• Address escalated issues that other administrators were unable to resolve and ensure they are closed out.

• Automate routine administration tasks to reduce the time spent by the team on these activities.

• Manage backup, recovery, and patching processes, ensuring they are validated rather than assumed.

• Establish administration standards and provide mentorship to less experienced administrators.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree along with over 15 years of experience in systems administration.

• Extensive experience with Linux or Windows Server administration in a production setting.

• Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.

• Proven experience in managing backup, recovery, and patch management with demonstrated restoration capabilities.

• Administration of systems adhering to a federal security baseline like STIGs, including scanning, remediation, and evidence for accreditation.

• Experience with operating containerized workloads in cloud environments (Kubernetes or OpenShift).

• Capability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation (Public Trust).

• Candidates must be U.S. Citizens and have resided in the United States for at least 3 years to meet background investigation requirements.
