Senior System Administrator – Commvault

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Act as the operational subject matter expert for enterprise storage, backup, recovery, and cyber resilience platforms, concentrating on Commvault.

• Execute, oversee, and sustain Commvault backup and recovery processes, which include backups, restores, replication, retention, upgrades, and patches.

• Manage enterprise storage environments from Dell EMC, NetApp, and HPE.

• Conduct health checks, capacity management, firmware updates, and modifications.

• Diagnose intricate incidents and carry out root cause analysis.

• Serve as the senior escalation contact, including on-call responsibilities.

• Preserve immutable backups and ensure cyber recovery.

• Conduct routine disaster recovery and recovery simulations.

• Guarantee that SLAs, security compliance, and audit requirements are fulfilled.

• Address compliance and audit discrepancies.

• Create and update runbooks, procedures, and technical documentation.

• Mentor junior team members.

• Engage in service reviews.

• Promote continuous improvement.

• Support, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance enterprise storage and data protection environments.

• Ensure service availability, operational stability, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Commvault Certified Professional (CCP) certification — required.

• Minimum of 5 years of practical experience with enterprise storage, backup, and recovery.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Commvault Complete Data Protection.

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent professional experience.

• Familiarity with enterprise storage solutions: Dell EMC, NetApp, and HPE.

• Experience with virtualization technologies: VMware, KVM, and Nutanix.

• Knowledge of cloud backup solutions: Microsoft Azure, AWS, and GCP.

• Strong proficiency in Windows Server and Linux environments.

• Understanding of ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management.

• Excellent troubleshooting, monitoring, and performance management capabilities.

• Proficiency in both Polish and English.

• Commvault Certified Engineer (CCEng) certification — preferred.

• Commvault Certified Expert (CCE) certification — preferred.

• Fluency in French and/or Dutch — a significant advantage.
