This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Act as the finance leader overseeing retailer deal flow throughout the entire lifecycle of retailer collaborations.
• Develop financial strategies and shape pricing philosophies for retailer alliances.
• Facilitate portfolio-level decision-making and create decision-making frameworks.
• Construct comprehensive financial models and provide guidance to senior leaders during critical negotiations.
• Establish standards for financial modeling that encompass revenue sharing, incentives, advertising, and fulfillment economics.
• Define and implement pricing guardrails, pricing architecture, rate cards, and deal desk procedures.
• Create partner- and portfolio-level profit and loss statements, forecasts, key performance indicators, and cash flow analyses.
• Develop self-service dashboards to quantify trade-offs, identify risks, and expedite investment decisions.
• Formulate investment evaluation frameworks and measurement plans at the portfolio level.
• Collaborate with teams in Partnerships, Legal, Revenue Operations, Accounting, Product, Deal Desk, Data Science, and Analytics.
• Enhance modeling accuracy, business judgment, and executive storytelling skills among analysts and managers.
• Report to the Director of Retailer Finance.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in strategic finance, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or management consulting.
• Extensive experience in directly supporting deal flow, business development, or commercial partnerships.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven track record of leading finance workstreams for complex commercial agreements from scoping and pricing to negotiation, signature, and post-close tracking.
• Experience acting as a senior finance partner in negotiations at the C-suite and VP levels.
• Proficient in structuring contract terms that balance growth and unit economics.
• Advanced skills in financial modeling using Excel or Google Sheets, including multi-scenario and sensitivity analyses.
• Strong foundational knowledge in accounting and unit economics.
• Capability to construct, reconcile, and present partner- and portfolio-level profit and loss statements and cash flow impacts.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex analyses and recommendations to senior executives.
• Preferred: MBA or a relevant advanced degree.
• Preferred: Experience in marketplace, platform, gig economy, grocery delivery, or consumer internet sectors.
• Preferred: At least 2 years of direct people management experience.
• Preferred: Proficiency in SQL, BI tools, and AI workflows.
• Preferred: Knowledge of pricing frameworks, rate card architecture, and enterprise-scale deal desk operations.
• Preferred: Familiarity with revenue recognition and partnership accounting.
• Preferred: Experience managing a fast-moving pipeline and multiple concurrent deals.
