
Senior Strategic Contracting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.
• Oversee business solutions and contracting strategies within the designated area
• Collaborate with the Operational Solutions Manager to manage account priorities for proactive business solutions
• Attain business solutions and contracting strategies with complex and systematic accounts
• Establish partnerships with decision makers in laboratory and hospital administration
• Create and deliver business and contracting strategies and proposals that align with organizational and customer needs, ROI, and ASP
• Lead and conduct in-person or virtual meetings
• Negotiate intricate contract terms and pricing for Caris’ portfolio with Hospital Systems, GPOs, and IDNs
• Ensure adherence to internal governance requirements and statutory pricing regulations
• Manage contract priorities from initiation through post-execution, including workflows and compliance with terms
• Work with the legal team on contract redlines and terms
• Partner with the commercial team on complex, high-impact accounts
• Drive LEADS/LAGS and lead business-solution priorities and initiatives in the assigned area
• Identify and create training and ongoing development opportunities for the team and new hires
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, customer-focused services
• Act as a subject matter expert in hospital administration and laboratory-related fields
• Maintain document control, repository upkeep, and tracking of deliverables
• Monitor and evaluate account metrics and address or delegate areas for improvement
• Identify and implement innovative opportunities to enhance or broaden business solutions
• Achieve or surpass team goals and initiatives within management timelines
• Communicate progress, strategic challenges, and opportunities to leadership
• Stay informed about Caris offerings, competitive landscape, and hospital/laboratory administration issues
• Maintain assigned company assets, including laptop and iPhone
• Submit necessary paperwork, business plans, reports, and expenses accurately and punctually
• Undertake ancillary projects or related tasks as assigned
• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, life sciences, or a related field, and/or at least 5 years of equivalent experience
• Proven experience in implementing business-solution initiatives, managing challenging situations, and resolving problems
• Strong critical thinking abilities
• Experience in managing timelines, projects, documentation, tracking progress, and conflict resolution
• Capability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, matrixed environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with clients, internal sales teams, and cross-functional departments
• Proficiency in CRM systems such as Salesforce, reporting tools like Tableau, and the Microsoft Office Suite
• Exceptional team leadership and people management skills
• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods
• Capacity to lift routine office supplies and utilize standard office equipment
• Successful completion of pre-employment criminal background check, drug screening, relevant credit check, and reference verification
