Senior Strategic Buying Services Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the development and management of key suppliers, utilizing advanced sourcing techniques and comprehensive commodity management practices for designated Direct Purchasing commodities.

• Implement cost optimization strategies through competitive bidding, eAuctions, Electronic Catalogs, blanket contracts, commodity planning, opportunity assessments, business intelligence needs, and sophisticated spend analytics.

• Take ownership of cost savings objectives while spearheading process enhancement initiatives and ensuring achievement of Key Performance Indicators.

• Supervise the routing of low-value and emergency Purchase Requests in collaboration with the remotely located Transactional Purchasing Services team.

• Serve as a strategic partner to stakeholders by cultivating commodity expertise and defining sourcing strategies that align with market conditions, pricing dynamics, and technological advancements.

• Direct the entire Purchasing Sourcing Process, which includes bid list strategy, RFQ creation, supplier negotiations, supplier selection, sourcing approvals, and issuance of contracts or purchase orders.

• Ensure that sourcing, contracts, and Purchase Order transactions adhere to Corporate Purchasing Policies and Procedures.

• Manage, mitigate, and resolve intricate commercial issues and supplier-related risks to maintain business continuity and performance.

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and coordination support to fellow buyers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Procurement, Accounting, Business, and/or Engineering.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in negotiating, sourcing, and managing contracts, demonstrating ownership of complex procurement activities.

• Experience with Direct Purchasing (chassis tools) is advantageous.

• Proficient in computer applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and SAP.

• Excellent verbal and written English skills (C1 level or higher).

• Proven advanced skills in negotiation and stakeholder management.

• Exceptional organizational abilities, with a capacity to prioritize, manage multiple complex projects concurrently, and meet strict deadlines.

• High level of analytical skills, capable of addressing complex problems that necessitate strategic assessment.
