Senior Staff Product Designer, Core

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the renter experience across web, mobile web, and native iOS and Android platforms.

• Take ownership of Core's coherence, quality, and strategic direction.

• Balance the upkeep of existing products with the creation of innovative new offerings.

• Establish standards for visual, interaction, and systems design.

• Develop patterns and standards for senior designers to use as benchmarks.

• Prototype AI-driven experiences utilizing Cursor and Claude Code.

• Link prototypes to actual components, variables, and tokens for seamless engineering handoff.

• Integrate AI as a fundamental aspect of the design process and adopt new tools accordingly.

• Formulate a perspective on the product direction of Core.

• Coordinate alignment among senior product, engineering, and executive stakeholders.

• Discover opportunities through qualitative and quantitative research and experiments.

• Guide designers through critique, collaboration, and exemplary practice.

• Drive initiatives to successful completion.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience designing digital products and managing complex, cross-functional issues with minimal guidance.

• Proven experience with AI in practical applications.

• Demonstrated success in shipping working prototypes or production code using tools like Cursor or Claude Code.

• Ability to articulate the strengths and weaknesses of AI implementations and the validation process.

• Experience in launching products for both web and native mobile platforms.

• Strong mobile-first product mindset.

• Background in creating frameworks, pattern libraries, starter kits, or standards that have been adopted by other designers or teams.

• Proficiency in Figma, including auto layout, components, variables, and design systems.

• Strong visual design, typography, interaction, and motion design skills.

• Demonstrated proactive ownership and follow-through on projects.

• Preferred: experience with a large-scale two-sided marketplace.

• Preferred: direct collaboration with C-suite executives on product strategy.

• Preferred: a side project developed from concept to launch.
