Senior Staff Forward Deployed Engineer, AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Integrate within a functional department to explore and comprehend workflows and challenges.

• Define, design, and develop comprehensive custom applications utilizing contemporary frameworks, AI coding assistants, and internal platform APIs.

• Manage the entire delivery process, encompassing architecture, development, testing, deployment, training, and handoff.

• Engage actively with AI coding tools and collaborate with stakeholders in near real-time.

• Assess and convey trade-offs involving scope, speed, and quality.

• Collaborate with IT, Security, and Data teams to ensure adherence to data security, compliance, and supportability standards.

• Systematize recurring patterns, components, and playbooks into reusable assets.

• Relay field insights back to platform, product, and data teams.

• Evaluate and report on success based on production adoption and quantifiable business impact.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Proven capability to independently design, develop, and deliver full-stack applications.

• Skilled in at least one modern backend programming language: Python, Node.js/JavaScript, or similar.

• Frontend proficiency to create functional internal tools.

• Practical experience with AI coding assistants and LLM-based tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex.

• Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, data structures, and integration strategies.

• A history of collaborating directly with non-technical stakeholders, clarifying ambiguous requests, managing expectations, and delivering production solutions.

• Capacity to work with substantial autonomy amidst changing priorities.

• Excellent communication skills for articulating technical trade-offs.

• Previous experience in forward-deployed roles, solutions engineering, professional services, or as a generalist in a startup environment is preferred.

• Knowledge of enterprise security, compliance, or data governance requirements is preferred.
