This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide focused technical leadership for the CSCX Customer Subdomain.
• Make architectural choices concurrently with development tasks.
• Evaluate designs prior to implementation to minimize future rework.
• Collaborate with current team architects to alleviate capacity issues and expedite delivery schedules.
• Enhance technical decision-making and solution governance across existing and forthcoming initiatives.
• Define, design, and advocate for the data fabric architecture strategy and roadmap for customer-centric data projects.
• Work alongside product management, implementation leads, and business stakeholders to convert data requirements into scalable data fabric solutions.
• Establish and uphold data architecture standards, best practices, and guidelines.
• Facilitate the integration of on-premise, cloud, and third-party data sources into a cohesive data fabric.
• Offer technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers, architects, and development teams.
• Identify and mitigate data security, privacy, and compliance risks.
• Stay updated with trends and technologies in data fabric, data management, and customer experience.
• Document data fabric architecture, designs, and processes.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with at least 5 years of professional experience, OR Associate’s degree with at least 8 years of professional experience, OR High School Diploma with at least 10 years of professional experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Data Architecture.
• Military experience is considered equivalent to professional experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing data fabric solutions leveraging data virtualization, data cataloging, and metadata management tools.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is a requirement.
• No employment visa sponsorship will be provided, now or in the future.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Preferred: Master’s degree.
• Preferred: Over 10 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related technical role, including at least 5 years dedicated to large-scale data fabric or distributed data systems.
• Preferred: Strong knowledge of relational databases, NoSQL databases, data lakes, and data warehouses.
• Preferred: Extensive experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, S3, ADLS, BigQuery, Snowflake, and Databricks.
• Preferred: Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Preferred: Comprehensive understanding of data governance, data quality, data security, and data privacy principles.
• Preferred: Experience in leading complex technical projects and influencing cross-functional teams.
• Preferred: Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
