Senior Staff Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Support the Chief Legal Officer at Navitus, along with the Deputy General Counsel or Assistant General Counsel for Contracts.

• Draft, evaluate, and negotiate contracts on behalf of the organization.

• Manage the entire lifecycle of Navitus’ contracts, from the initial request to the final signature.

• Address internal and external inquiries regarding contract status and ensure timely follow-up with staff.

• Prepare legal documents, memoranda, and correspondence.

• Contribute to the development of new Navitus initiatives from a legal standpoint.

• Offer guidance and legal advice on business objectives, policies, and practices.

• Conduct research and analyze statutes, judicial rulings, legal articles, contracts, and legal codes.

• Organize and file legal documents and correspondence in both digital and physical filing systems.

• Create processes for indexing and filing legal documents as well as managing contracts.

• Oversee document templates and corporate legal records.

• Conduct records and legal research.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Promote the values of Navitus and SSM Health, while supporting Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution is required.

• A license to practice law in Wisconsin is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal role is required.

• Must participate in, adhere to, and support the objectives of the compliance program.

• Ability to consistently engage cooperatively and respectfully with fellow employees.
