Senior SRE

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design and develop new core infrastructure components with a significant degree of independence

• Enhance and refine deployment pipelines, environment provisioning, and high-volume batch processing

• Utilize Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform for managing and scaling intricate infrastructure

• Create CI/CD pipelines for automated building, testing, deployment, and monitoring activities

• Establish and oversee multi-step CI/CD pipelines, encompassing environment configuration and artifact management

• Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of production systems

• Implement site-reliability practices throughout the infrastructure

• Establish monitoring, alerting, and observability tools

• Collaborate with software engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders on infrastructure and deployment systems

• Articulate complex technical challenges clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in building and managing infrastructure within production environments

• Proficient in Python with substantial experience in writing production-ready code

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes

• Knowledge of cloud services such as GCP or AWS

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform

• Proficient in using CI/CD platforms for automating build, test, and deployment processes

• Comfortable implementing site-reliability principles including availability, observability, and automation

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another quantitative or computational field, or equivalent practical experience

• Familiarity with Prometheus or Grafana is preferred

• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet is preferred

• Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments is preferred
