Senior Squad Leader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Coordinate and provide support to two or more development squads, ensuring productivity, well-being, and growth within the teams.

• Maintain focus on strategic priorities by minimizing multitasking and preventing deviations into initiatives that fall outside the agreed direction.

• Serve as a facilitator between strategy and execution, converting objectives into actionable initiatives that align with team capacity.

• Ensure predictable delivery by monitoring planned versus actual outcomes and responding swiftly to any deviations.

• Cultivate relationships between squads and partner functions, including Product, Customer Success, Support, Sales, Marketing, and others.

• Assist in organizing and prioritizing the backlog with Product, ensuring clarity, technical feasibility, and alignment with capacity.

• Proactively eliminate critical technical, organizational, and external obstacles to ensure a smooth development workflow.

• Track operational KPIs and work towards continuous improvement of squad performance.

• Conduct individual and team follow-ups, including one-on-ones, feedback sessions, and career development discussions.

• Oversee team operations, including capacity management, workflow organization, rituals, and delivery tracking.

• Lead alignment meetings with technical and product leadership to ensure cohesive strategies.

• Manage delivery progress while ensuring transparency for all stakeholders involved.

• Develop and maintain squad performance dashboards to provide operational visibility.

• Advocate for the practical implementation of Artificial Intelligence within squads to enhance productivity, quality, and reduce delivery times, while monitoring its impact on outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in managing projects for digital products.

• Prior experience leading development teams as a Tech Lead, Squad Leader, Agile Master, or in a comparable role.

• Familiarity with agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, as well as flow management techniques like Lean, along with efficiency and effectiveness metrics.

• Proficient with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

• Ability to maintain focus, prioritization, and organization in environments with competing demands.

• Experience thriving in dynamic settings that require frequent changes and rapid decision-making.

• Capacity to work effectively under pressure while balancing quality, speed, and alignment with business objectives.

• Skill in connecting technical decisions to customer impact and business outcomes.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills across various functions.

• An analytical mindset capable of interpreting metrics and making data-driven decisions.

• Practical experience in utilizing Artificial Intelligence in everyday leadership to enhance decision-making, task organization, communication, and delivery efficiency.

• Experience with systems that involve external integrations, APIs, or significant operational variability is advantageous.

• Prior software development experience is a plus.
