This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in West Virginia.
• Implement the neuroscience brand strategy and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Establish robust customer relationships and address customer needs.
• Develop pre-call plans and perform post-call evaluations.
• Manage objections, concerns, and misunderstandings while securing calls to action.
• Formulate and execute call plans to enhance customer coverage, frequency, access, and sales opportunities.
• Acquire knowledge of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical topics, and sales strategies.
• Disseminate market intelligence to in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and all applicable laws and regulations.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
• A bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience is required.
• Relevant equivalent industry experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five years of experience, including three or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry is preferred.
• A high school diploma/GED is required when utilizing equivalent industry experience instead of a bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated history of successful leadership.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Strong business acumen.
• Proficient in the use of business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to identify customer styles/behaviors and adapt selling techniques accordingly.
• Effective operation within a matrix environment.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical commercial industry is preferred, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• In-depth knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects is preferred.
• Proficiency in the English language is preferred for non-English-speaking countries.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain them.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
• Must comply with safe driving requirements.
